Institute of Clinical Research (India) is claimed to be the world's largest clinical research institute, which is exclusively focused on specialized clinical research programmes.

ICRI's three campuses at New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore provide the perfect environment conducive to effective learning and academic success. Its New Delhi campus is spread over 20,000 sq ft area with modern amenities like an updated library, fully air-conditioned classrooms, computer room etc. ICRI Mumbai campus is spread over an area of 20,000 sq.ft. and is equipped with modern infrastructure facilities, fully air-conditioned classrooms, a well-stocked library, computer labs etc. The Bangalore campus is spread over an area of 12,000 sq.ft. with all modern amenities, infrastructure and fully air-conditioned classrooms.
ICRI started a 2 years M.Sc in Clinical Research program starting from August '06 at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. The Foundation Course - 1st year includes Biomedical Basis of Disease (Integrated teaching in Medicine), General Pharmacology, organisation and functions of various systems including drug used in the management of various diseases, pre-clinical, toxicity studies, evaluation of drugs and Indian regulatory framework and drug discovery and development.
The Clinical Research Modules in the 2nd year includes experimental Methods:-
o Research design and methodology, experimental methods ii: advanced design and analysis business management and health economics pre-clinical evaluation, research governance and ethics clinical evaluation
o Practical and scientific perspectives of translational medicine, clinical evaluation
o Commercial aspects and implications affecting clinical research clinical evaluation
o Regulatory requirements and seeking approval, clinical evaluation
o Clinical research - marketing interface research project, site visits to pharma industries, clinical research organisations, site management organisations and BA/BE units and also hospitals where trials are being conducted.
Further, industry training in India/Cranfield UK., for 4 months is also offered. The M.Sc degree is awarded by Cranfield University and is not recognised by AICTE/UGC or any other State Act.
In order to give hands-on training in Clinical Research, students are placed in the prestigious pharma companies, Clinical Research Organisations, Site Management Organizations, Institutions and BA/BE units for four months at the end of 2 years. The students are required to submit a project report before the final exam. In order to have a global exposure, students can choose to complete their course at the Cranfield University, U.K They can complete their project work after paying the necessary additional fee approved by Cranfield University.
Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM) is integrated along with M.Sc in Clinical Research program.
The PGDPM course at ICRI is designed to provide strong functional skills and the ability to integrate and apply them in different management settings. It provides a broad foundation of management education and knowledge in diverse functional areas. It provides the requisite soft skills, so essential in managing the self and interpersonal aspects in the business environment.
Apart from delivering quality education, the faculty members at ICRI play a significant role in ensuring effective interactive teaching methodology. Presentations, field assignments, case studies and group discussions are some of the methods adopted for the delivery of course contents. Continuous and multi-criteria evaluation and feedback to students through examinations, viva-voce, personal interviews and presentations help students to assess their performance in a holistic manner. Mentoring of student groups by like-minded faculty is a continuous process at ICRI.
It also offers one year part-time P G Diploma in Clinical Research and the programe prepares the student for a rewarding career in Clinical Research.
